This Personal Protective Equipment Kit is based upon the PPE section of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations which are based on what are "deemed optimal precautions for protecting individuals involved in the response to an outbreak of high pathogenic avian influenza from illness and the risk of viral re-assortment." This kit will not prevent infection, but is considered a "prudent precaution to the extent feasible" by the CDC.
